Kenneth Omeruo Super Eagles defender has confirmed his readiness to remain in the Spanish La Liga when the 2019/20 season starts in Europe.
Kenneth Omeruo who is a Chelsea player last season his performances in the Spanish La Liga helped him to make the Super Eagles final squad for the 2019 African Cup of Nations in Egypt.
Moreover, the championship in which the Super Eagles won bronze beating Tunisia 1-0, Omeruo was linked with a move away from Spain.
“When I made the decision to come to Spain, it was to test myself because I had people say that am playing in Turkey which is not high level or a top league. ”So when the opportunity came to go to Spain, I knew it might be difficult to get into the team, but I also knew I had what it takes and I had what it takes to face the best players in the world. “I love La Liga because it compliments me. I think it’s the best league for me and would love to continue in Spain but Chelsea have the final say. They have to reach an agreement. Hopefully, it happens, but if not, we see what happens,” Omeruo said.
