Fire Razes Bayelsa Radio Station

Bayelsa State-owned radio station, Bayelsa Radio, has been razed by fire

Report has it that the fire started this morning at about 7:30am  which destroyed a critical section of the Bayelsa Radio,  located along Azikoro Road in the state capital.

Confirming the incident, the Commissioner for Information in the state, Daniel Iworiso-Markson, said nobody was injured neither was any life lost in the inferno. According to him, the state government will probe the cause of the fire outbreak to avoid a reoccurrence. 

He explained that his ministry will work out modalities to ensure the resumption of full broadcasting to the delight of its audience. The inferno however destroyed some facilities in the live studio, links room, ICT unit, recording studios, and the presenter’s office.
